Skin TagsWhat is a skin tag?Skin tags are harmless little skin growths that stick out like a small, soft, teardrop shape. They’re very common and can be whisked away quickly, easily and comfortably at your local salon providing Totalcare treatments. They are usually found in skin folds of the neck, armpits, torso, beneath the breasts or groin and can vary quite a bit in appearance. They can be smooth or irregular, flesh coloured or deeply pigmented, raised above the surrounding skin or have a stalk so that the skin tag hangs from the skin and they can range in size from 1mm to 1cm. As you get older, you are more likely to develop a skin tag. They are particularly common in women over 60, obese people, people with diabetes and in pregnant women. They are completely harmless, but can be irritated by clothing and jewelery and by where they are positioned e.g. on the collar. The experts recommend:Your therapist will quickly and easily remove a skin tag in seconds with one swift movement of the Apiderme probe. You won’t feel any pain or sting - sometimes a slight amount of heat – and the results are instant. there might be a tiny scab but it will fall off naturally after a few days.
